Thank You!

We couldn't do this without you. Thank you on behalf of the children, families and adults the Library serves in every corner of our community. In spite of one of the most significant challenges our world has faced, you showed an unwavering commitment to the Library. Your generosity makes so much possible and we are especially grateful for your partnership during this difficult year. Your love and support of the Kitsap Regional Library and our community is truly inspiring!

Dear Library Supporter,

As a donor, you are a vital and valued member of the Library family and your generosity has a profound impact on the patrons they serve. Because of your support, Kitsap Regional Library can expand services and programming year after year and engage our community in new and exciting ways.

As we head into our second year of this "new normal," one thing is clear: our community relies on the Library. Last year, 7,669 viewers enjoyed our virtual book groups, storytimes and Summer Learning performances; cardholders borrowed 1,790,5223 physical and digital items, and library staff served nearly 66,000 patrons curbside.

Through your support, you create opportunities for our youth to excel in reading, ensuring they develop a life-long love of learning. You empower our teens to explore new ideas and learn first-hand about topics they find interesting, topics that can lead to future educational and workforce opportunities. And you help us engage in conversations that lead to better understanding and compassion, and often new friendships.

Thank you for investing in our community, helping each of us to dream more, learn more, do more and be more.

With gratitude,

Wendy Kile Executive Director

Kari Driskell Assistant Director

Kelly Eastman Administrative Assistant

One Book,

One Community

Each year, Kitsap Regional Library invites the community to connect over one book meant to spark conversation and civic engagement and inspire change. Matthew Desmond's, Evicted generated robust discussions about housing insecurity and homelessness in Kitsap.

To the Library

Imagine visiting the Library for the first time through the eyes of a third grader. You discover a favorite book can be checked out with your new library card. You realize there are hundreds of interesting books and engaging items available to explore. You meet a librarian, who will become a familiar face and go-to person for questions and creativity. After a fun-filled day of stories and activities, you leave with a To the Library bag and book to keep for your very own.

New Brand

Last year presented a unique opportunity to reimagine the Foundation brand with a new logo and a beautiful, more functional website.

Creating

New Stories

The Silverdale branch is central to inspiring learning, connecting people and creating new stories. To meet the needs of a growing community, the Library has partnered with the Central Kitsap School District to build a new library in Silverdale.

Summer Learning

Fun in the sun! Every summer, Kitsap Regional Library invites all ages to participate in a self-paced reading and learning experience.

Covid Response

When the Library closed its doors last March, they had no idea it would be a year before they would open their buildings again. While last year brought its share of challenges, it also showed just how resilient our library staff and community are.
