In 1944, Kitsap County residents made history by voting to create a county-wide library system, sparking a legacy of learning and community. By January 1, 1945, the Kitsap Rural County Library District was officially in operation.
Now, 80 years later, the Library invites you to celebrate this incredible milestone with Passport to Explore!
Embark on Your Library Adventure
Visit all nine branches and collect a stamp at each location. Along the way, uncover fascinating facts and unique stories that have shaped Kitsap Regional Library over the decades. Show your completed stamp collection at the end and receive a special prize (while supplies last)!
But the fun doesn’t stop there! Each branch will host exciting activities and side quests throughout the year, so every visit is a new adventure. Make sure to check out the exclusive designs on free items like library cards, color sheets, bookmarks, and more!
Commemorate the Anniversary with Exclusive Merch
In addition to in-branch offerings, special anniversary merchandise is available at the Kitsap Regional Library Foundation store. A percentage of each sale supports the Library programs and resources our community relies on.
Show your love for your favorite branch throughout the year and feel great knowing your purchase supports Kitsap Regional Library!
Participating in the 80th Anniversary festivities is a great way to get to know your library, connect with others, and have a lot of fun along the way! Stay up to date on activities and events at KRL.org/80years.
